Out-of-this-world caves, breathtaking forests, charming rural towns, and a wide plethora of fun adventures await travelers in Cave Junction, Oregon. Offering beautiful nature, Cave Junction is known as the gateway to the Caves National Monument and Preserve.
For your next Oregon holiday, I’ve gathered 4 treehouse rentals that can serve as the perfect base for all of your Cave Junction adventures. Whether you’re visiting the area for the golf courses, wineries, culture, or nature, there’s a treehouse rental in Oregon that’s waiting for you.
Two of these rentals are treehouse resorts, which are bed and breakfast businesses also known as “treesorts.” And so, here are treehouse rentals in Cave Junction, Oregon, that are perfect for your next getaway:
1. The Kush Kabin
(Photo from VRBO)
Location: Cave Junction, Oregon
Price: $220
Book on VRBO
The Kush Kabin is a deluxe Cave Junction treehouse rental located on a legal cannabis farm. There’s one bedroom and one bathroom, a kitchen, a small living area with a couch, and a deck that overlooks the farm's meadows.
Breathtaking distant mountain views can also be seen from the treehouse. This is an adults-only treehouse rental, which means it’s best for couples or solo travelers.
It’s a two-story structure with a kitchen, bathroom, and living space on the first level and a loft bedroom on the second floor. A tree also goes through the middle, making it a genuine treehouse set amidst a working cannabis farm.
2. Vertical Horizons Treehouse Paradise

Location: Cave Junction, Oregon
Price: $250-$350
Book on Tripadvisor
The Vertical Horizons Treehouse Paradise is a property with 4 treehouses. Shared amenities include a disc golf course, yard games, a BBQ grill, a volleyball court, trails, a seasonal pool, and ponds within the property.
For this feature, I’ll talk about two of their treehouses, which offer different features:
-
Extraordinary Excalifir Treehouse
This is the biggest treehouse on the property with 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. It has a kitchen, a full bathroom, and two lookout decks. It’s a 2-story treehouse that’s perfect for families or groups.
(Shiitake Treehouse, Photo from TripAdvisor)
Shiitake Treehouse, on the other hand, is great for couples. It is located a little further into the forest and distant from the other treehouses, but still within easy walking distance of the main area of the property.
It has 2 sleeping areas, a toilet and sink inside, and a shower located in a separate structure a few feet away from the treehouse. There’s no kitchen here, but there’s a mini fridge and coffee-making facilities.
Because it’s elevated high up in the trees, kids below the age of 6 are not allowed to stay in this treehouse.
Two other treehouse rentals are available on the property, each offering different features and sleeping a different number of guests. If you’re a big group visiting Cave Junction, this property is a great option if you want to rent the entire place exclusively.
3. Out N About Treehouse Treesort
(The Swiss Family Complex, Photo from TripAdvisor)
Location: Takilma, Oregon
Price: $200 - $400
Book on Tripadvisor
Out N About Treehouse Treesort is considered to be the biggest “treesort” in the world. There is a total of 15 treehouses up for rent in this resort, with sister treehouse rentals in nearby areas.
The “treesort” is known for being committed to sustainability, using the property's trees to build structures and amenities. They even offer treehouse materials for anyone planning to build their own treehouses in the area.
A central pavilion is found on the property, where guests can prepare and cook food. Activities found within the property include horseback riding, yard games, ziplining, and rafting services.
I can’t possibly feature all the 15 treehouses in this list, so I’m going to write about two of my favorite for this Cave Junction treehouse rental list. And here they are:
This is a fun treehouse to rent for families. It’s not the safest or the most convenient but it’s definitely the most fun. It’s made of two structures, one main treehouse and a smaller treehouse with bunk beds that are perfect for kids. The two structures are connected via a suspension bridge, which makes it so much fun for kids to enjoy.
The main treehouse or the parents’ treehouse, consists of a bedroom and a seating area. The bathroom is not within the treehouse but is located a few feet away, which is also shared by other guests. I like this treehouse because it looks so much fun to stay in, but also for giving parents and kids their very own separate and private areas.

-
Tree Room Schoolhouse Suite
Also called, “The Suite,” I love this treehouse because it has beautiful exteriors and is the most complete in terms of furnishings and features of all the treehouses.
It has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom inside, so you have privacy, comfort, and exclusivity within the resort. However, it’s twice the price of The Swiss Family Complex, so it’s one of the most expensive options in the property.
It also has a large deck and a propane BBQ grill.
Out N About Treehouse Treesort is a great option for families and groups who want to stay in a place where there’s service, fun activities, and plenty of options for accommodation.
4. TokinTree Treehouse
(Photo from VRBO)
Location: Josephine County, Oregon
Price: $250
Book on VRBO
Last on our list is the TokinTree Treehouse, which is a sister treehouse rental of Out N About Treehouse Treesort. It is dubbed as a cannabis-friendly treehouse, located on a legal and working cannabis farm.
It has 1 bedroom, 2 beds, and sleeps 4. There’s also a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a large deck. The treehouse is elevated 35 feet above the ground, accessible through a suspension bridge. Because of this, both kids and pets are not allowed on this property.
There are 12 acres of property here, with the working cannabis farm offering educational tours during harvest season. It’s located at the end of a private dirt road, so get privacy and exclusivity when you stay in this Cave Junction treehouse rental.
If you’re a couple, solo traveler, or group looking to stay in a treehouse overlooking meadow views of a cannabis farm, then this treehouse rental in Oregon is for you.
Cave Junction is known for its magnificent national park but there’s so much more to do and see here that it makes for the perfect spring or summer holiday. Some of the treehouse rentals are open for winter but a few are closed.
Whether you’re a family looking for a fun and memorable vacation with the kids, or a couple looking for some downtime, Cave Junction treehouse rentals have something for you.
